“Telling Our Stories” Storytelling is a tradition as old as the Jewish people and it is at the heart of the camp experience. Through the lens of our dual storytelling traditions, GIJP Conference 2010 will focus on the continued growth and success of the Jewish overnight camping movement. The future we envision lives in the stories we tell. The Conference aims to enliven our stories, hone the talents of the people who tell them, improve the tools we use to deliver them, and meet the needs of the many, varied audiences who are listening to them. Join us to discover the transformative power of storytelling for your camp.

Please check the 2010 GIJP Conference Website to find information about the November 21-22, 2010 conference, including details to help with your planning and travel. Early registration is by invitation only, and starts September 1^st, 2010. Open registration will start on October 7^th until October 18^th on a first-come, first serve basis until the conference is full.

Please review the 2010 Conference section of the site for updated details about our conference to be held on November 21 – 22, 2010 at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel.

Contact your Camp Director if you are interested in attending this year’s conference. Each camp is guaranteed a limited number of attendees, who will receive the link to register for the conference online. Your Camp Director will be helping determine the team that will join us in Springfield, MA in November.

Save the Date! The Grinspoon Institute for Jewish Philanthropy is excited to announce that the 2010 GIJP Conference will be held at the Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel in downtown Springfield, MA on November 21-22, 2010.

The Grinspoon Institute is thrilled to announce the keynote speaker for the 8th Camp Conference, “Leadership, Leverage & Legacy”, November 15-16, 2009 in Chicopee, MA is Rabbi Eric Yoffie, President of the Union for Reform Judaism.
